Project Monitoring Week commencing 21st January

At the start of the week I was behind due to my exam and me participating as a model in someone else's photo shoot. However, I am now ahead of my schedule. I began my research and writing the reoccurring fashion article. I had already previously done some research but it was not enough, therefore, I decided to do some more to make a more detailed informative article.
I was only due to write one more article, however, I have written both of the articles I had to write in the next 2 weeks. I still have to do some audience feedback on both articles and edit them if depending on what they say. I will do that over the weekend ready for next week where I can start on the In Design work.
I will be shooting my photo shoot in tomorrows lesson, which will mean I can do any Photoshop work next week as well, which again puts me ahead of schedule. This will give me extra time to focus on my In Design work to make it as good as possible.
I wrote the reoccurring fashion article as a timeline going through all the decades stating from the fifties to now. This was easier writing it this way and the readers would be more interested in reading it like this as they can see what fashion was in trend each era and who was the style icon that decade as well.
I wrote the interview article as a more question and answer article as this was what my audience wanted when I asked them through feedback. To make it slightly more formal, I also wrote a 3 paragraph introduction for the interview.
In my photo shoot I will be shooting the front cover and images for two of my three double page spreads. Then on the weekend I will be hiring a camera so I can shoot my photos for the third double page spread. I am doing this in a house, as there wasn't a convenient time for my model to do the shoot in the studio and also I needed the table and sewing machine as props but these would again be inconvenient to bring into college.

I took 80 different photos during my shoot today, which was very successful and meaning I had a range of photos to choose from next week. I was able to take close up shots, portrait style shots, mid length and long shots for both models and double page spreads. For my interview article I have a portrait style shot so I can show who she is and then her posing, which will also be used for the front cover.
For the reoccurring fashion article I have two photos, they both demonstrate a 50/60's style, however one is more how they would wear it back then, which also looks like an evening look. Then another photo shows a more modern day look.

Project monitoring week commencing 14th Jan

This week I have completed what I was supposed to do according to my schedule. I have researched headers, introduction styles and article styles, which I then used to write up my own headers, sell lines and introductions. This means that my articles just need the body part writing up which will be finished in 2 weeks time, ready to put into indesign, with the photos I will be taking next Friday. I have completed one article so far as I had already done this in my mock ups. I've also sorted out what props and costumes I will need for my photoshoots next week. For my homework, I will be asking the models to bring in certain costumes and props and to make sure they know what day, time and place I will be needing them. Today I will begin writing my 2nd article the reoccuring fashion article (which is DPS 1.) I will be finishing this by next week so I can begin my 3rd article which is the integrated article.

Schedule

I've orgainised my schedule to show what I have to do each lesson for each week up to my deadline. I've also included homework that I need to do outside of class in my spare time. It has been organised this way so that it is easy to see and it is clear what I need to do everyday.

My schedule is realistic as I have not overloaded my lessons and free time with my production work, instead I have spread out my work evenly. The weeks where I have other coursework or exams I have written down less homework to do, which makes it realistic.

I've left one week of contingency time before the deadline, because if I do not finish my set work in the schedule on time or if something goes wrong I will have extra time so that I can sort things out and finish my prodcuction for my deadline.

The big challanges will be time as there is a lot of things to do, however, with the help of my schedule and the extra contingency time I should be able to meet my deadline. Also, getting all the photos done in one photo shoot will be hard, so I may have to do some as extra homework.
