Project Monitoring Week commencing 28th January

After the photo shoot last Friday, I was able to start editing my photos. Therefore, I edited them in Photoshop so that they were slightly lighter and sharper, but I did not change much.

As I wanted them to be looking at each other I thought I would just simply have the two photos together, however the slight difference in colour was noticable so instead I used the blur tool in photoshop to merge and blend the two photos together.
Now you can hardly tell that they were two seperate photos as they look very similar. It was hard to make them a similar size due to the way I took the photos and how high the heels are, however, they now look a similar size.

I also, started my DPS for the reoccurring fashion article. Originally, it was on 3 pages. However, this looked lengthy and too long for my audience to read (though Vogue magazine is like this.) Therefore, I changed it so I had the original title page on one page and then the article on the other. I changed the font for the header as before it looked informal which didnt match the overall feel with the sophisticated texts. Also, the image needed a border as the grey on white looked like too much and quite boring. The splatter looked out of the DPS when it was on it's own so placing it underneath the text made it look more with it and it also now goes with the break out box which is a similar colour than before as it was bright pink. Also, the breakout box looks neater when it is in the centre of one collumn rather than between the two.

Similarly, I did the same proccess with the interview image as I just made it slightly bigger, and changed the tone and contrast to make it a more brighter and whiter background.

Audience Feedback
After asking my audience for feedback on  my two articles, I found out that they 'like the break down into decades' for my reoccurring fashion article. They also like the 'quirky words which fit into the type of article,' that it is. It's also 'easy to read' and they like how I have included the fashion trends of famous people as well.
For my integrated interview they liked how it was 'not too long' and the 'relevant questions'  'keep you interested' in the article and the person they are reading about.

However, the reoccuring fashion article makes it 'hard to picture some of the trends' so I should have made time to take more pictures that will suit all the trends and decades.
For the integrated interview article there was 'not muich about the type of clothes and styles,' there was more about how she got to be a fashion designer and what she thinks about the topic ethics of fahsion.
